Haven't been on the forum in awhile. We have just been so busy. Gardening and working on quilt blocks. I am doing the Craftsy BOM, and the quick strip paper piecing with Peggy Martin. I have fibromyalgia, and as of this week found out I have arthritis in my knees and bursitis in my hip. Ahhh, the joys of getting older. I'm not complaining though. I don't let it hold me back; but it certainly takes me a little longer to do every day tasks. I love to read your posts. Hope all is well with you. What are you working on now?

and while I'm at it, WHAT A WK! 3 bdays and a fathers day, 95' weather, no ac in jeep, got rv out of storage and the "composite" (plastic) piston in brake caliper froze, so I couldn't figure out why it was pulling to the right, new asphalt on our road in front of house and I swear it's 8 inches higher and now it's like driving up on to a berm to get out on the road, so I've been fighting with ODOT to come feather in my driveway, cause my jeep is the only thing that comfortably get's out on the hi way! O am I fit to be tied!! So, I've been MIA on the board, just peaking in really quick and getting off, cause some days, I can sit here forever!

Part 2 A lot of the races stream live on the internet, but I don't think TNT does. My DH is not so quick to go to the races anymore. Last time he went, he stayed at the camper and watched it on TV, with the sound effects of cars in the background. He's got a bad back and truth be told, I don't think he's interested in sitting in the grandstands and all that. So, I go with my son and DIL, or whoever I can talk into to going with me. Camping at the track is truly the way to do it. I have a small RV, that not too big for me to handle on my own, and it really takes 85% of the hassle out going to the races and usually, you meet a lot of interesting people and if you keep going back to the same spot, it becomes a yearly ritual! Last year at Dega, We had some Cajuns, feeding us fresh shrimp cocktail and shared their crab boil. I still giggle when I hear how they said, crab boil....LOL. We had a small roast pig to share. MMMM mmmm! Now about Kansas, how far is that from Lisbon Ohio?

HOLY COW! I get up this morning and once again try to find your post and there it is, first off, when I to to my profile. Last week, I couldn't get to it to save my life! I have no idea how or why! Sorry to be so tardy! O my, No nascar? that's akin to me having no coffee in the morning.....LOL. When I first REALLY got hooked and we didn't have cable and it played on some weird channel for a wkend, we went down to Lisbon, which by the way had only 2 little mom and pop roadside motels, and rented a room for $25 just to watch.....OMG, it was like a room out of the old movie PSYCHO! Pink tile in the bathroom, had to be from the early 50's and I won't even go into the rest of the decor! I told DH, pull your chair in front of the TV, DON'T touch nothing, we'll watch the race, and get the heck out of here! LOL...Got Dish TV the next wk! and that is the only reason I have Dish..(well, except for the Waltons.) ( O BALONEY, I have to delete most of my message and write again!)

Hey girl,
I am pooped. It is all I can do in a day to answer messages from friends and do my daily chores. Glad I don't cook anymore, at least not yet. Will have to start when Jim starts working on the house again. That should be around Jan. of next year. LOL He also likes his tools but I have to make him buy them as he won't buy things for himself. He enjoyed looking at all the quilts hanging in the stores and asking questions about them. He sure is a good sport. I am very blessed!!
Well, nothing else going on since I wrote you last. Will keep in touch though!! Have a good time gardening and quilting.

Sorry for the delay in this message as we just got home from our vacation. I thought we were going to come home before the big Iowa State Quilt Shop Hop of 90 stores but Jim wanted to do it when we first entered Iowa from St. Louis!! He had a great time. I got burnt out after the 45th store. We met a lot of nice people along the way and learned of more shop hops local to the other quilt stores where if you got to all 6 or 8 you receive about 6 yards of fabric plus they have drawings in each store. We just separated everything so I'm not quite ready for that as yet!!
That's what we are doing, how about you? I haven't sewn yet since we got home, but I hope to work on that long friendship braid quilt I am making for my sister who did so much for my mom when she was ill. That's it for me. Tell me about you.

Thanks for the comments.I have been camping for a few days and just now got home. As for the towels they are store bought and the deer are appliqued made out of felt. The clothes pin bag was a spur of the moment thing. No pattern. I had the orange fabric which happened to be scotch guarded and I just made it the width of the clothes hanger.I probably couldn't make another one if I tried.LOL
