LOL! You are too funny! I'm glad you liked my quilt. I really like that it is made with charms, but doesn't look like it. Thanks for your kind words. Hugs.
Hi Sue! Thanks for the nice comments on my quilt! How are things coming along with your project?
Hi Sue! Just try cutting out some white and black strips and lay them around one block so you can get the idea and see what you think looks best. If you do decide to go with a narrow strip before the black sashing, I would not cut smaller than a 1" unfinished strip which will end up being 1/2" finished. Narrow borders can get tricky sometimes and look a little "wonky" if the seams are not exactly even. I did a really quick mockup in Photoshop just to give you a rough idea of how a narrow white border can make a nice clean separation of the blocks from the black sashing. You decide what works best for you though....YOU are the creator and artist! It is already beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished project!
thanks for the compliment!
Thanks for looking at my quilts, and I'm glad you like the scrappy stars quilt!
Thanks for your kind comments Sue
I've been quilting for years and my seam ripper is some days my best friend while I'm working on a project! It's funny you sent me this message because I was in Joanne's 2 weeks ago shopping and picked up another one for a "just in case backup".
Sue, thank for your kind words about my D9P quilt. I don't know that I have "an eye" for placement. I have to work at it and rearrange over and over before I get what I want. LOL Thanks again! Hugs
Thanks for your comments on my quilting!
Hi! Was just checking the SS group and saw your offer of the seam ripper, thank you very much for your kind offer. As it turns out upon finally cleaning up my sewing room I found my seam ripper and a few other missing objects that I couldn't image where they went off to.
New York Sue thanked for this post
