I'm so glad you like my Hawaiian wedding quilt! It was for Bethany and she waited 7 years for it.

I replied to your suggestion about making a wall board ant I don't know if you received it so I decided to repost it.
"Both of those are great ideas. For you 1st thought, I wonder if it would work to have a leader board and screwed those little hooks into it (like a wall mug rack) then take some large clips found in an office store and hang them on the hooks when I want to baste it. This is a combination of your suggestion and Sandy's suggestion. Anyway your idea sounds very doable. Thank you : ) "

The fan blocks were 6" and constructed with just 3 arcs (black for the center, a pattern for the actual fan, and then a white for the background).

Thanks for the comments on the kitten pictures, cats can get impregnanted by more than one male and I think Georgie (R.I.P.) was Daddy to some (he looked like the 3 yellow guys) and our Hondo is a long-haired gray tiger. I guess HalfPint is a cross between the two...LOL

Missing you - hope all is well. I did think you finished up with your duties Stateside and had returned home. Miss your posts - hope it just means that you are off having fun somewhere.

I had fun looking at the photos, Martha. I've got you beat on the little ones. If you look at the tabletopper I made (in albums) the little flower block border is 3" flower blocks. I paper-pieced those babies. No way would I have gotten any accuracy otherwise! Haha! Actually I paper-pieced all those flower blocks. I almost think it would've been easier to make them the traditional way.

Thanks for the comments on my basket blocks. I really enjoyed making them and do hope to get them made into a quilt someday. There are 12 large blocks and 24 small ones. The easiest ones were the ones with the fewest half square triangles! And those little ones measure only 5", so they were a challenge to say the least. BTW, I posted pics of the remaining blocks. I finished them up sometime this winter and never got around to posting them. Have a look and see which you like!
