Saw this hint: use a coffee mug tree to store scissors

Great idea, If only i would put them back after cutting instead of laying them down and putting something on TOP of them... Horrible habit i have.. hence about 10 pairs of scissors... LOL
Rediculous when i get to the pick up stage and keep finding them her and everywhere))))))))

Me too. Whenever we're shopping and pass a scissors display DH asks if I need any scissors. I think he's only half joking.

Had to google 'coffee mug tree'! Since hubby and I don't drink coffee, I only have one 'mug' to drink my hot tea.

This is a clever way to store scissors or rotary cutters.

There are also some good ideas here using a flower frog.

I like the frog one, it hides the points.

Some of my scissors are in a tin can! If the outside of the can is spray painted, it spruces it up a bit. I also have a couple smaller glass jars that I put Frixion pens & scissors in. My thread snipping scissors lay on the table by my sewing mach. I have another sm. pair of scissors that I keep on the ironing board for when I clip threads on the backs of a finished quilt top. The trick is to always put them back where they belong, so you can always find them. lol
