Has anyone base their quilt this way? This would really be a lot cheaper. When I finish with my cooking I am going to try it with a table runner I'm working on.

Interesting...worth a try.

Creative clutter is better than idle neatness.
Definitely worth a try....much cheaper and less smelly!
I have a girlfriend that uses liquid starch on ribbon, then presses that on her walls or kitchen cabinets or dorm room decor, whatever. The ribbon sticks as the starch dries, but when she is done with that look or needs to wash the ribbon, she just peels it off and any residue quickly washes off the wall or cabinet. I haven't tried it, but she does this all the time and it looks very neat!
Surely worth a try....thanks for sharing

I'll try it. I saw someone use hair spray. I'll try and hunt that down. That would be flamable wouldn't it?
Here it is. I don't think I trust it though.

I wouldn't like to try hairspray either. The spray starch is probably worth a try
Spray starch didn't work for me. I couldn't get it to stick. The lady in the video said hers held up to 6 hours. I may be using the wrong starch. The hair spray held good. I'll check it in the morning to see if it is still hanging in there/It sure smell good.
Okay, just tried it. It worked!! I was using the cheap Faultess starch from Wal-Mart. However, 3 or 4 violent shakes did take it off. But, who really violently shakes their quilt after basting?
