This is how I connect my ends and it works great.

That's a terrific way to attach the ends. I've never seen it done that way before. It would especially work well on small projects where it's too difficult to use the binding tool. I do have to say, though, that I use 2" binding strips so I always have a full binding. If using 2.5" binding strips I would definitely add extra batting around the perimeter of the quilt so it's a full binding.

I find I get the best result joining binding ends when using a tutorial that someone mentioned in a previous thread, can't remember who, sorry. It is on YouTube.......'Quilt Binding, The Final Connection'.....Cassandra Plott. Worth a look but sorry don't know how to do a link either.

And I think I like this way even better.
The first way is how I have been doing it, and like it, but it's noticeable. I think the above will be just as easy and less noticeable.
