I like challenges.......
I saw this block pattern on Craftsy....a free pattern to download and re-create! But, when I read the pattern directions and saw the block only finished at a measurement of 6.5 inches? I thought to myself...I don't like working with 1/8 of an inch measurements and let's see if I can simply the method throwing a pre-cut in the mix...MAKE THE BLOCK BIGGER!!!!

Here's what I ended with up starting out with 3 jelly roll strips, a few pieces cut from yardage and a little trimming to end up with? A block that now measures 17 inches...(I need to increase just a little more to get 17.5 inches)....

I totally love taking some scraps just to see if I can DO THE MATH and make it different!!!!! That how we learn....by taking the initative to see what we can do before we ask!
