Default My first quilt! ALMOST FINISHED!! :-D

I'm so excited to almost be finished with my first quilt. :-) it's been a long learning experience. But I love it and it's worth it.
The only thing i need now is a border. I have lots of extra jean fabric and a bit of extra of the flower printed ones. I was thinking about putting the four different patterns on the corners and then jean on the sides and tops. Make sense? Oppinions or ideas are welcome

That looks like a great quilt! Is it a rag quilt? If so, please, for the sake of your hands, buy some rag quilt snips. I clip my rag quilts while I am watching tv and it helps the time go by faster. Oh, and don't try to clip it all at one time-I tend to get impatient and clip it all at once. By the time its done, my hands hurt and I am grumpy! LOL

very nice first quilt. And yes, please do yourself a favor and get the rag snips. Joanne's sells them and you can find them anywhere online. I tried to do a rag quilt them and almost created a new language all on my own during the process. Ratsafatsa

You can get the rag snips at Joanns and use a coupon on them! I have seen them with all the other scissors and cutters and also in the Fons and Porter section.

You should be very proud of yourself. You did a very good job. The smile on your face, says it all. Now just sit down with a good movie and snip away. As young as you are, using scissors shouldn't be to hard on you. I have always done mine that way. (and I am old and arthritic + have fibromyalgia and lupus) Keep telling my self I need to get a pair of spring loaded snips, but just don't think about until the next time I do a rag quilt. Quilt away hun, your adventure has just begun.
