HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE!

It came! Yesterday I came home from work to find a big box for me sitting on my kitchen island! DH has really done it now! It's a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 and I am in LOVE! He's out splitting wood and wants me to just sew my heart out and get acquainted with my new machine. It came with a BAzillion feet I have to figure out, some really awesome features on this machine. All the reviews I've read are GLOWING and it hums along like a dream! This is an upgrade from my 20 year old Pfaff Variamatic. The old gal just wouldn't do what I want it to....sadly. (I've loved this machine because it's been my learning machine, but I think it's ready for a much deserved break, and will be passed on to my 11 year old GD as her very first machine.)

Anyway, back to my sewing room for more reading. I'm glowing! Happy wife! ;-)

Is it cold in Washington? They say wood warms you twice, once when you cut it and once when you burn it! Hope it isn't a hot day there! Today would NOT BE a good wood splitting day in Missouri! It's already too hot!

Jean he's got his log splitter out in the wood shed, shaded entirely by evergreen trees. Although it's a beautiful sunny day he's staying nice and cool. You're right though, wood heats you twice! It's a lot of work but there's really nothing like it on a snowy day.

He's a keeper for sure. We've been married 38 years. I tell everyone I "renew" his contract annually! Yes, I think he's "the one"!

We had a log splitter when we lived in the country. I loved using it myself, once somebody started it up for me! It's great to be with the right spouse, cherish your many years together, and may you have many, many more!

Did you cry! There's always tears when the rare occasion comes along that Joe presents me with something related to sewing. My first really nice machine was given to me at Christmas time. It was a total surpise and the flood gates were open wide. CONGRATULATIONS!

So happy for you. I have been looking at this machine too. Hubby told me to order it, but I have a very hard time spending on myself. Still kicking it around. Not to mention, I am going to need an instructor to teach me how to use it if I ever do get it. I have never sewn on any kind of computerized machine, so definately a challenge. You gt used to yours, then if I get mine you can talk me thru all of it.
