She's Here - Penelope "Penny" Layne Steger

Afternoon all,

My baby woke up this morning with some pain in the "bottom" but not like contractions. Her hubby went to work early 'cause they were scheduled to go to the baby doctor at 2:30 pm.

After an uncomfortable morning doing her house chores, I convinced her that they were surely labor pains and we should call Matt to come home and make their way to the hospital. By the time they got to the hospital, she was 8 centimeters! I should be a doctor. lol j/k This was at 12:50 pm.

Miss Penelope "Penny" Layne Steger made her Diva entrance at 28 pm, weighing in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces, 21 inches long, dark strawberry blond hair.

Mama Kat is doing well, made it with no drugs since it all went quickly, no tearing TG. As soon as Penny was done with her first meal they were going to move them to a room for an expected two night stay before they can come home. Matt is over his head with excitement with his baby girl! Call his MIL first per his wifey, then his mom, then his dad.

Zander and Oliver are excited and wanted to go to the hospital but I'm without a car with carseat for Ollie, we'll have to wait for Penny to come home. I'll post photos as soon as Matt sends some over.

Called Don right away, that German/Prussian got all weepy on me. Only time he gets mushy is when it's about his daughter/sil/grandchildren!! He can't wait to come to Cali for the big move and hold/kiss the grandbabies!! He said if at all possible we're moving to be with the grandkids now that he has his VA medical insurance!!! Oh my, another move in my horizon...The life of The Schmers. lol
