    Default Gaahhh tension snafoo!

it's possible that others have done this, but why do I feel like the only dough head who would be moving along quilting and not notice that I must have rubbed past the tension dial on my old singer, and accidentally turned it down to zero... now there is a huge, looong section of seam that I need to rip out and do again... oh and I was so close to being done. Grr! Dang it. I think this is the pits, and maybe I need to step away from the project before I do something I'll regret.

Something you'll regret, like take the scissors to the whole project? Throw the machine down the steps? Drink excessive amounts of liquor and it isn't even noon? Take a deep breath, enjoy the ripping, it can be relaxing, but not if you are in a tense mood. It will all work out!

Jean, were you peeking at me? Good advice, dear one.

You will be happy once you are done ripping and glad you did.
I know from recent experience, ripped and sewed a good bit on the one I am making now, the first set on point.
I made a beginners mistake, cutting my setting triangles based on the size of the un-sashed blocks and then adding sashing to the blocks. Not the right way to do that.;o} I rescued it by sashing the setting triangles and cut new corner triangles, turned out pretty well so far.

It will be worth ripping it out. Maybe, though, you could just sew over it again? What I hate is the same thing, but you run out of bobbin thread at the very beginning, and all you were doing is punching holes in the fabric. I know some of the fancy machines have a bobbin low alert. I wish I could afford one of those nice machines.

hahaha throw the machine down the steps and drink some wine sounds tempting, but I guess not. I suppose if that's the worst thing that happens to me today I will be blessed. LOL

So true, so true. We have all been there. Although Jeans' advice does seem tempting at times. lol

Hmmm! Wine! Sounds good. I'm off to the fridge. That leftover white wine from my braised chicken dinner is calling my name. Don't panic! I'm not having a drink at your time. It's almost 7 p.m. here in delightfully sunny and spring-timey London.
