Quilting Royalty
1/4 seam not as scant as I thought
New to quilting and have made a couple of rag quilts and a fence rail. Decided to try something with more piecing. Found pattern called Taking Turns in quilting magazine that included a four patch a couple of blocks and some sashing. How hard could it be?
Spent the day cutting and put the first block together only to find out that what I thought was a scant 1/4 inch wasn't. Went back to basics and finally got needle position set and after becoming friends with seam ripper tried again. Got closer the second time. With practice I'm sure it will get better but right now it's close enough
. Time to walk away and start again tomorrow.
