    Default Ho, ho, ho!

I don't know about you, but I can't get excited about making Christmas quilts before Memorial day! That's why the Daily Deals lately haven't inspired me. I know now is the time to snag Christmas holiday fabrics because now is when they re coming in, but...

    What do you think?

I took a look at today's daily deal and may just go ahead and get it.. don't know yet, the patterns kinda lean themselves to a vintage look that my cousin Margie likes in her quilts. That was the first thing I thought of.. Another quilt to make for a special cousin of mine.

Cristmas fabric in May.. lol why not? I guess now there ist enough variety. Later on the best fabrics will be gone...
I still have got some very nice Christmasfabrics from last year.. I did less then I wanted, so I don't need to buy a lot of fabric for next Christmas.

Maybe I should start using them up..
    Best wishes and Greetings

Also, Christmas colors aren't my favorites either. Like the golds and greens more than red and green.

Don't know why, but I can't do much ahead for Christmas. I prefer to make things that aren't seasonal. Maybe it's because it takes me a while to finish anything and I don't want to put it away until next year once it's done. I'm trying to finish up some UFOs right now and having problems with the easiest things...like a binding that I had so much trouble finding something to match or not "kill" my pretty border fabric then I had to sew and unsew one side a few times. LOL When I try to hurry something, I just have to redo it. Oh well, the end is in sight on that one anyway!

Ho-Ho-Ho!!! I bought the daily deal today...love the prints! I can make two quilt-as-you-go runners from one jellyroll. I give these to my girlfriends every year for Christmas.

Go ahead, Jean!! You know you'll regret not buying it!

I get out my Christmas fabric stash from time to time just to look at it. There are a few specific prints I've been looking for, I want to make table runners for a few friends at Christmas. I would also love to make myself a seasonal quilt this year, but I just don't see it anywhere near the top of my list of "to do's" because people keep having babies and others see what I'm doing and say "I want I want"! Add to that housework, husband, etc etc etc. This deal did tempt me, I will admit.

I am thinking of getting Christmas prints now; otherwise I won't finish what I am making if I wait until later. I started some Easter things too late and didn't finish them; so they will be ready to go for next year. LOL!
