Today I went to my quilt class and a lady came in that was just chatting with the others. I heard the word "car" and I heard the word "fabric" then I saw all the ladies that were in the building go outside. YEP! That lady had the outside her entire CAR pieced with fabric! Really! The pieces were held on with some sort of shiny coating, but you could feel the fabric texture. I just walked away shaking my head. :icon_shake:
Are you finally getting the classes that came with your new machine? Patchwork car huh!?
Now that person has way too much time on her hands and probably too much fabric, too. What a hoot!! I'd walk a mile to get a look at that. Now about those classes- have ya started yet??
Wish you had your camera with you. I'd like to see that! She must have a lot of free time on her hands. LOL
I did see a picture somewhere of a fabric covered car but heck I have KRAFT. Kan't remember a friggin' thing. LOL!!
I've seen some pics of those on youtube or some such site. They do those for the major quilt shows. Usually a guild or club will work together on one. It's cute, but a waste of fabric, to me.

I saw one on line like that too. I figure they 'wrap' boats with sponsor's name s and stuff, y not cars. But on the other hand, no matter how much I love quilting, you would not catch me driving that thing, unless I was paid a significant amount of $. Maybe she was a sales rep for fabric company. WTH knows. Crazy people in this world.
