One of my adopted niece's is having a benefit auction to raise funds to help cover medical expenses that are occurring while her husband does his chemo and radiation treatments. They have 2 small kids.
So I volunteered to send to her a quilt that she could sell at the silent auction, I am currently working on a baby quilt, it is posted in the show n tell segment here. I also told her if she could find someone to sit at a table, I would make up some ladies wallets and other small things that they can sell.
Then I find out my cousin has cancer he has just begun his chemo treatments, and will begin his radiation treatments in July, so want to make him a D9P, with the main blocks being white, so that his kids and grand kids can sign it. And he can cuddle up in all their love when he gets cold.
I also will be attending Rockers 4 Knockers in Oct. and need to get things done up for it, along with a lap quilt for their silent auction. Rockers 4 Knockers is a benefit where about 10+ local heavy metal bands get together and play all day raising money for Cancer research. This will be the second time that I attend this. (heavy metal is not my thing but its for a great cause.)
On top of all this, I have another cousin who I am making a lap quilt for, and my son in law. And my to do list just gets bigger and bigger.
Lets hope I still have all my hair by the end of the year..
