OK, I must have missed something, what is the foot you are using? I have just gotten drunkard's path templates and plan a turtle stampede quilt with them [sometime soon] but have not tried doing a curved seam since garment construction years ago and they were never that kind of small.

Rebecca, Since I've never tried it before, I can't say. Some on the internet say you don't need a special foot. I only know it gave me the courage to try curves, which I wouldn't consider doing before I saw this demo. I'd say, I have seen people modify their plastic see through feet to open them up ( thus the invention of the open toed foot), so if a plastic foot for your machine is cheaper ( under $30), you could modify it with a file or jeweler's saw to make it shorter. This foot also has a little "wall" on the right of the needle to help you do a 1/4" seam. I think it was worth it to me, maybe not to someone else. I know you can do it with a regular foot.

It is called Curvemaster. It was $30 and has shanks to help it fit most machines, including Featherweights. You can check it out at www.curvemaster.biz. I'll post a picture. There are tutorials how to use this foot and how to sew curves with a regular foot.

I would love to see the turtle pattern, sounds darling!
