    Default Incresing the stash

I shop often at a Hancock Fabric store 1 mile from my house. They have been putting their cottons on a table calling it "Spot the Dot". The colored dot on the bolt indicates if it is 50-90 % off. Well, I have found some darling fabrics for our charity quilts. One day, while they were measuring my pile of fabrics, another customer asked why I was purchasing all the fabric. I told her about Marilyn's project that I was helping with, and this lady offered to help us by donating her leftovers to our projects. Yesterday I met her, and she gave me a box and a bag of great scraps for the project. There are a lot of darling baby and kid fabrics in there as well as plenty of florals. It will be a great addition to our project stash. It helped her recycle things she couldn't use to help others. Thanks, Joann!

Sorry for spelling increasing incorrectly, I missed that one while typing the title! Darn iPad! Can't fix that after posting.

Yeah, Jean, excuses, excuses - we know it was a spelling error and you didn't even know it until you saw the red line underscoring it. Talk about teaching English . . . hope you know I'm just pulling your chain!

I find that there are a whole lot of people out there who have no idea how to pass along their scraps and excesses - glad you ran into Joann.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Isn't it amazing how many really nice people you run into. Makes up for the miserable and nasty ones we occasionally meet.

WTG my north county counter part. By the time I get back to mine you will have left me in the dust. But hey, I'm not complaining. WTG and if you talk to her again tell her I said thanks. BTW, Happy Mother's Day.

Yank, yank, chain pulled! I deserve it for not being more careful!

I do have her phone number, and she has mine. I think she might clean out some more and we might get more scraps.

Between your 81 yards of Wal-mart fabric and my daily forays into the fabric shop, we could probably quilt the entire city! I don't know where to start! I have piles of coordinates and 100s of ideas. But this week, I'm going to make quilts for my grandsons. I'm going to visit them next weekend, and they all had birthdays that grandma has not "gifted" them for yet, so next weekend is the time! I have pirates for the two older ones, and a Richard Scarry cars one for the young guy who loves vehicles of any kind. Need to get going and get them finished.
