Re: Is this too feminine?
My brother would have called it "cute" also, and loved it very much. He is 58.

Re: Is this too feminine?
I asked my brother straight out - here's what he said:
"Of course he will love it...he'll love it because you made it for him. He doesn't experience the world with his eyes. It's all aural for him. It's a great looking quilt but that's lost on him. He doesn't care what anything "looks" like... He's about meaning and feeling. Trust me. He'll love it."
I think I love that answer :-)

Nice response from your brother. As a side note it does not read feminine to me at all.

Re: Is this too feminine?
I think it's an awesome quilt.....I am sure that it will be appreciated. OF course you really never know ( unless this man has told you he likes quilts ) if the quilt is going to be a welcome gift.
It's really nice and well done. Go for it....let us know what the man said when you give him the quilt.....!!!

Re: Is this too feminine?
I think the word 'cute' is great when speaking of puppies and kittens, but grossly overdone otherwise. Sort of like the word 'hack'. Great if you are going through the underbrush and such, but simply doesn't belong otherwise.
