    It was sweet of your brother to give you positive feedback, however, I don't see that this is a feminine-looking quilt. The fabrics you selected definitely lean toward masculine. Go ahead with your plan as is. I'm sure the musician who is the recipient will love it.

    I agree with this.
    It doesn't read cute at all to me. It reads rich, opulent, and a design to highlight the finer things.
    That would be a quilt that I would be proud to give that to my son's orchestra teacher who was also a former college and minor league baseball player.

    I think your quilt will be perfect for a guy. It's gender neutral IMO.

    Can you ask your brother to clarify what he meant by cute? Can you ask him again if he honestly thinks Michael will love it? Explain to him that you don't want to give Michael a gift he won't like and you want his honest opinion. Would that work? For what it's worth, I think it's a great quilt and think any one would like it.

    It doesn't read feminine to me (and I am a musician as well)
    I agree with Barb and April - it's gender neutral!
