Happy girl-New sewing machine
:icon_wave:
So I went to a sale at our local sewing machine store today with a friend. She wanted some pins and magnetic pin holder. Just happen to look at a Juki TL2010 straight stitch machine. Came home and asked hubby if I could buy it. I have mentioned machines several times recently and got no positive responses from him. I was talking about more expensive machines but got no indication that any new machine would be in my future. Well was I shocked when he said go buy it. So I did just that.
Now I need to go figure out how to thread it and have some fun. It has no fancy stitches but should sew a good seam with no issues going through multiple layers as we sewed through leather at the store. One function new to me will be the thread clipped.
Any tips from those that might have this machine?

Congratulations! I've had mine about 2 months now, so I'm not an expert. I tended to oil it too much after the initial application of oil the manual tells you to do. Now I use about one drop of oil per opening for every 8 hours of sewing. And it seems to be fine. I love my Jack Flash but I did get an open darning foot for it and a different 1/4" quilting foot.

Congratulation on the new machine.

Congrats! There is a thread on this forum where owners of that sewing machine model have written interesting comments about it:

I'm spying that thread as it is exactly the kind of sewing machine I think will meet my present needs: sturdy, straight-stitch-only and large throat. I want to improve my FMQ experience.
