It is freday! Jenny Time!
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Re: It is freday! Jenny Time!
It was slightly dissapointing. I have a serger, but wouldn't make it. I think because it has become a studio of sorts they are feeling out what will work out as far as expanding. It could of been a promotion for the fabric too.
Maybe the retreat girls will have more insight.

I would love to make one of those skirts, but I kind of agree, I am looking for quilting here. Fabric is very pretty.

Re: It is freday! Jenny Time!
I was ever so slightly disapointed that it wasn't a quilt tutorial....but then too, every once in awhile Jenny & the MSQC team does to a different type of tutorial for us.
Personally, I did like the skirt ! I really liked the fabrics as well. I thought the two young ladies that did the tutorial with Jenny were charming and did a great job while doing the video too.
Swedish Leo provided the video tutorial

( thank you ! )
For those of you who enjoyed the skirt...here's the link to the "two" Melissa's blog

I think this will be a great skirt to make for a holiday outfit. I am always looking for something different to wear on Christmas or New Year's ( Eve & Day ) ...and this skirt would be really, really comfortable to wear I am thinking. So, I am giving this a Thumbs UP!
Thanks again Jenny for a great tutorial, although I can't wait until next week to see what you have planned for us !
BTW....hopefully Rob Appell will come up with a great tutorial for this week !!!
One last thing.....normally when I am watching MSQC's videos it always says to look at the bottom of the screen for directions etc. Like with this video, I didn't ( nor have I ever ) been able to see any instructions .......Do any of you experience this problem as well ?

Yes, I too was disappointed it wasn't quilt related. I enjoy when she occasionally does a bag with Vanessa because it still ties in with a quilt look or theme, but this held no interest for me at all. I hope those of you who have a serger or like garment sewing enjoy!
