    My thoughts on this;

    The tutorials are not "just" for the Forum.
    Yes, You can make this skirt without the pattern but using a knit with a print that you have to line up - probably best if you have the pattern - although you also could do it without a pattern if you just want to gather the knit fabric.
    Yes, you can make this with wovens and no pattern if you wanted to......
    The elastic talked about is probably new to MSQC........
    I liked the tutorial.....it was great for beginners or experienced people!!!!

    Jenny was a hoot! I loved watching just for the laughs. She deserves a break from making a huge quilt every week (and don't two of her daughters design and make them too?).

    I've wanted to make a skirt like that, but it was too much of a beginner project for me so I'll use it for inspiration and motivation. I don't have a serger, but have practiced a lot with the stretch stitches on my sewing machine. It'll do nicely.

    Now, is M* going to open another fabric shop for knits? They're already getting into yarn. I have this vivid picture in my head of hundreds of ladies walking into their shops all wearing that same skirt....

    I plan to make this skirt with my girls when I return home. I think it's a great beginner pattern. Since I want them to learn to sew I think this skirt will definitely get them excited to begin working with their machines. I don't have any problem with Jenny changing it up a bit. I was also pleased to see the industry is now beginning to produce a variety of knit prints. I like working with knits but have trouble finding designs that I like. I'm fine with whatever Jenny wants to show us. After all, these videos are free and she is not obliged to present tutorials every week or at all for that matter. It amazes me that they pull off a new tutorial every week. These folks work really hard. Criticizing them over this seems unfair.
