Re: What have you purchased that you never use or would never buy again?
Sue,
Here's a tutorial that Jenny did about the Binding Tool. It was because of this video that I purchased the Binding tool, and I am happy I purchased it.

Enjoy the grandkids.....they won't be little forever ! ( My two sisters and I ( one older sis & one younger sis ) all had babies in 1975, my older sister had a girl ( after 3 boys ) in Sept 1975, 6 wks later in October 1975 I had my first-born son, and 8 weeks later my youngest sister had a girl ( 1st born daughter ) in Dec 1975. We all have 4 children, and several grandkids between us now ! We usually hold the holidays at my house because I have a completely finished basement with a hot tub , a pool table, and a model railroad !!! ....The grandkids & all the nieces / nephews ( actually there's usually 28 people in the house every holiday ! ) love coming to my house. Of course, over the years, the kids have had to move away due to their jobs etc.....so the amount of people has dropped that come for the holidays etc.
Look at all the fun you will have making quilts......
I spy Quilts
Cartoon Quilts
Holiday Quilts
and many other styles of quilts !

I use my binding tool when I use my rotary cutter to cut clothing patterns- its small enough to lay down on a pattern without taking up all my space when I'm quickly trying to cut something out. I use the angle part with my tracing wheel to trace darts or whatever. It's pretty handy that way.
I Love my side winder- use it all the time.
I do not use the FMQ ring- tried and failed multiple times.
I love the June tailor shape and cut.
I love my Omnigrid Tote-Size Foldaway Portable Cutting & Pressing Station, I take it to classes along with my Omni edge non slip ruler. No yellow on this ruler ladies- .
I love my thread director- it rocks when using metallic or specialty threads.
Do not use my basting pins- bought a big ole mess of them- I use spray baste now.
The comic book boards to fold and store my fabric- pft, like that's gonna happen! lol I managed to get some initially done when I first got them, but now - ugh - I do not have them time, effort or energy.

I just purchased the Creative Grids Stripology ruler this last weekend at retreat and had one of the ladies show me how to use it and I love it! I was able to make perfect charm squares. I can't wait to use if for strips too. Please give it another chance. Maybe next year you can make it to the forum retreat and someone can help you with it. I think that made a huge difference for me.

The binding tool. I can do it quicker myself than using it. I just use it for a template now.
