I do not have to meet a dead line or quilt for pay cause I would starve! Seems like I've been working on this little quilt forever. If it could be done wrong, I have done it at least 3 times. However, I have learned from all these mistakes and hopefully will not repeat them again. Today I was working on quilting the borders and decided to take a peek at the back. Hmmmmm. Where did that raggedy edge come from? Oh no. The backing had somehow gotten folded back and I was stitching it down to the back of the quilt. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Finally got that all picked out and done over. Kind of proud of the way it looks. Showed it to hubby. He thought I was ready to do the binding. I said, "Oh no. I still have three sides to do!" He couldn't believe I had worked all that time and just had one side done. I was doing it on the machine after all. LOL Whew! When I first discovered Jenny's tutorials and was bitten by the quilting bug, I had visions of me whipping out quilts left and right. What was I thinking? But I'm enjoying it. That is the important thing, right?

Slow is good. I hand quilt and a quilt often takes me 4 months to finish (all are bed-size). And when I'm working "round robin" on 5 of them like now.............. I hate to get bored or frustrated, so I just shift to another project for a while. It's a HOBBY, not a job. I had enough of "JOB" when I still worked for others. NOW I do it MY way, when I FEEL like it! I'm happy with that.

    What pattern are you doing?

If you are talking about the quilt it is a disappearing 9-patch. The quilting on the body of the quilt is just basic straight line. I wanted to do a little something in the border. Just made it up. Straight lines on the short sides and diagonal in the corners. This is my learning quilt.
