I agree. My son gave me this one for my birthday and it is wonderful! It heats up really quickly.

Rescued is my favorite breed.
I have the Steamfast Travel Iron and looks like I'm the only one that does not like it..I don't like the feel of it. When using it, it just fits in the palm of your hand. For me it's almost to small. I'm looking for one that is like a regular iron only a small version..
I have this one by my machine for piecing and small stuff:

I love it. I also bought this ironing mat:
Amazon.com - Sunbeam GCSBTR-100 Travel Iron -
and cut it up to the perfect size, and bound the edges - super for me! I use the iron rest part under my craft irons when prepping applique pieces.
Not a bad deal for all for under 25 bucks.
I shop at amazon alot!

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way your mom told you to in the first place
These things are sold by different names - I bought one from a different place.

I was doing Quilt in the Hoop from Nancy's Notions and author of the book used that iron. You had to press the flipped seams with a little more heat.
I use it and the larger Clover Mini interchangeably. I bought a timer that goes by hours rather than time. I can set it for 2 hours and if I forget to flip the switch on the power cord, the timer turns it off. The Mini does better at binding since it's small. The larger iron is good with water spray for regular seams. I have a table that already has an ironing cover right by the machine.
