Needles and sewing machines are coming back to our lives with Merche Grosso. Quite lovely textile works and 'taller'. You can read more about Black Oveja in my interview here:…

Hi! I hope this info doesn't come too late. I haven't been to Madrid since I started quilting, but as far as I know #3 on Sandy's list is a good reference according to Spanish quilting bloggers that I follow.

There are several fabric shops along Atocha street, but they are not specifically for quilting.

This is a Spanish blogpost with some interesting addresses and location map:

Just got back from my expedition - found Almacen de pontejar - it was closed siesta 2pm to 5pm - so I decide to have a cup of tea and wait - a queue formed and at 5pm there was about 40 people waiting outside - got in - there was about 20 staff and it was bedlam but it seemed to be just buttons and bows and handbag rings and such - didn't buy anything but on my way back to hotel found another shop - so I bought some Christmas print - also found lots of bars and restaurants

    Thanks for your input girls
