    Default Thrift Store Finds

So I met with my BFF today and she loves doing the thrift store runs. I picked up a fantastic wood TV tray to turn into a portable ironing board - $2.98.

Then I found a bundle of quilting templates - $6.98 - four of them: O'Lipfa Square marked in 1/8" units; Clover's bias strip cutting template circa 1995; Jodi Barrows' Square in a Square template, circa 1995; and Betty Gail's Quilter's Rule triangle from 1985. Now I just have to figure out why I bought them.

Picked up a book of applique patterns and another book by Lois Hallock on "Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space".

Fun time out laughing with Donna.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

LOL Sandy! Your BFF? OMG if she is anything like you the city should require some type of warning flag on your car and that you wear bright, reflective clothing to warn people. Just kidding. Glad you had a great day and scored a tv tray. I've been looking for one too, with no luck so far.

Hey, if you can't figure out why you bought the templates you can always donate them to the gift table at the retreat, someone will find a perfect use for them.

How the heck! I would never find something like that here. All there is is mismatched glasses and pot lids.

Great find Sandy. My portable ironing table is a garage sale tv tray and I love it. I've been looking for more ever since, thinking I can make some portable ironing boards and sell them as a Project Linus fundraiser. So far I've had no luck.

You can't see bargain templates and not buy them. There is a chance you or someone you know will need them some day.

Sounds like you had a great day with your friend. My best friend just left after we spent the afternoon putting some embroidered blocks together for her first grandbaby. I sent her home with the quilt basted together and ready to go in an embroidery hoop. The shower is May 30 so she has a month to get it done. I love passing on the art of quilting!!!!!
