Default What is your favorite iron?

    Hey y'all!
I'm new here and doing some 'wish list' shopping for Mother's Day.
I've had a couple of Rowentas but I am intrigued by the yellow Oliso that Jenny uses in many of her tutorials!

I just wondered if there's a 'general consensus' on what is every quilter's favorite iron?

    Thanks!

I bought a Rowenta portable, with the handle that collapses. It steams great, is a very good size and stays hot. I had other Rowenta irons that weren't that good, they leaked like crazy and the auto shut off drove me crazy. This one isn't my everyday iron, but when I do use it, I really like it. It fits in its own little travel case.

I've had rowenta and oliso both and liked them a lot. However, I just got a cordless panasonic that I love! It is small and lightweight and it fits in my bags so I can press them!

I just ordered the T-Fal Ultra Glide from Amazon. It will be my second one. The surface says "non stick" and it means it... Nothing sticks to this iron.

I love my Rowenta. It has worked beautifully for me for years now, but it is a bit heavy. I am intrigued though by the cordless irons some here are recommending and also by the T-Fal Ultra Glide iron. Do they get very hot and are they light weight? (My two biggest criteria for a new iron.)
