Eileen this is the one I have and its now about 1 1/2 years old it steams wonderful, gets real hot, does have auto shut off but heats up quickly. removable tank for filling. I used distilled do to hard water here. Best of all no cord to get tangled in trip over or iron over. LOVE love love this iron.

Re: What is your favorite iron?
Right now my favorite iron for quilting is a $9 iron from Dollar General. It's non-stick, gets really hot, has good steam, and doesn't have auto-off.
Re: What is your favorite iron?
Welcome from WV and a log home owner also. I have the Oliso in blue. I believe it is somewhat smaller than the yellow and holds less water. I have been very happy with it, not heavy, hot. comes with a very long cord also.
Re: What is your favorite iron?
Welcome to the forum. I always had a Rowenta iron but last year in Paducah I purchased the yellow Oliso iron. It doesn't get quite as hot as my Rowenta but what I like about it is that it has a long cord and doesn't shut off for 30 minutes.
I also keep a small Rowenta iron like Jean's that I keep in my sewing case for traveling. It's a great iron as well.
Re: What is your favorite iron?
My next iron will be a cheapy. I have had two Rowenta irons and both started. leaking after about a year. That makes me so mad to spend that much money and not last longer than a year. I want an iron that doesn't shut off automatically, steams well, has a non-stick plate, and gets really hot. I don't put water in my Rowenta anymore as it leaks so bad. I bought mine at Hancock Fabrics and the manager told me that the Rowentas are notorious for leaking. They get them back often. They would not refund my money but gave me another iron like the one I had. Now it is leaking even worse than the first one did.

Here is a picture of my Panasonic WL600. It has 1500W. The little plastic dome is a lid that clips onto the base so you can take it to classes. I got it at Quilt In a Day for $74 when we were there. I think it is $99 now on their website.
