Default Oh the TENSION And not the kind you think....LOL!

I have been working on my queen quilt today. Managed to get it all basted with no wrinkles........YES!! You think I would be happy with that for a days work and just relax..............but NOOOOOOOOOOOO. I decide after sitting for a few minutes, I will start quilting it. So I say "self, how do we want to quilt this?" Self replies " why of course.... STD with that great new foot you got for your machine" So *other self* says. "But STD is boring and am feeling adventurous!" Other self won! I am 1/4 of the way finished with quilting it FREE MOTION. Hence the tension!!! My shoulders are just aching........LOL! What was that *other self* thinking??!!??

    BREAK TIME!!
    Blessings!

Donna, do you realize that most of the intelligent conversations we have are with ourselves? Suggest a good night's sleep and a new forward attack tomorrow!!

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

It's important to take frequent breaks to loosen up the shoulders, back, wrists, arms, etc. They talk about that in the FMQ books. I set a timer so I won't forget.

Good for you! I haven't been nearly so brave. My favorite way to relax my shoulders is to lie on the floor with my legs on a chair with hips and knees at 90 degrees (like you are sitting on chair, but on your back). Then, put your arms straight out from your body, then bend elbows 90 degrees (like you arms are goal posts). At first, it might be hard, but if you can hold that for about half an hour (I know, it is really long) the weight of your shoulders will help the muscles at the neck and on your upper back relax into the floor. If you need to, you can relax your arms during the half our by straightening them out to the side (so you make a big t).
