Some Paducah Photos
Several of the pictures I took have already showed up in the link to the show winners. A couple weren't too clear so I've left those off. And, because of the way the quilts were displayed - three in a section and the 'wings' were angled, it was difficult to get a head-on picture. But, regardless of the non-professional status, I'm posting some that 'grabbed' me. Have fun!!

They are usually 90 degrees.
A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.

Wow! What artistic beauty! Not my area of expertise but nice to know it can be done by someone!

Thanks so much for posting these pictures. That rainbow study and the snowy egret were both just stunning. I especially love how the quilter made the egret's chest plumage look as delicate as it is in life. All that talent is both intimidating and inspiring!

April, the last picture was taken just for YOU! It's not really clear, but those are Sunbonnet Sue and Strawhat Sam (or whatever they are called) and they were 3-D applique. Too cute.Originally Posted by Iris Girl

What is truly amazing is that some of these (like the kids at play) are made from pieces of fabric smaller than my fingernail. It's so amazing how anyone can work with something that small. From a distance some of them (like the Dahlia) look like photographs.

Just stunning! The snowy egret and the dahlia are outstanding, thanks for sharing. I so wish I could have gone.

Thanks for the pictures, Sandy. These quilts are gorgeous..........especially like the 2nd picture and the pink flower.
