Re: Fabric.com Beware!
I avoid Fabric.com like the plague. I had shipping issues with them, found them to be unprofessional in their customer service and cross them off my buy from list.

It took a lot of haggling to get them to understand the issue and then I had to get extra fabric I didn't need because I had to re-order a matching fabric and it was not $35.00 worth. I hope that makes sense. I was really bummed because they had always been so easy to work with before. I thought maybe I'd just gotten a clerk - or two -that was having a cranky day. Now I wonder if it was all policy change???
I'm not sure where to order fabric that I can't find on MSQC now. Any suggestions?
Fabric Depot in Portland, Oregon, has an on-line business in addition to their retail store. In their retail store, they have mostly quilting yardage and not too many pre-cuts. My understanding is that they will go to the retail store to provide on-line shoppers a fabric that is not shown on their website. I guess you call them to ask if they have it. I shop at Fabric Depot locally so I can't comment on on-line order service issues.

DH and I were on a road trip and he planned it to where we could stop in Batesville, Arkansas. Their prices are at least a dollar less per yard in the store. Plus they have several discount tables. Got some nice backing fabric remnants for $1 a yard! And most of the fabric I bought was $2.99 a yard. I only spent about $50 but got a lot of fabric.
Aw, sheesh! My DH is NOT going to be happy that I have found another fabric source!

They have a husband bench. My DH sat in the car and munched on snacks and played solitaire on his ipod.
If you have a business license, you can buy their big yardage packages. It's pretty impressive. The first time we were there, there was a couple who owned a quilting business and they literally loaded their truck up with fabric.
Here's their wholesale website and you will see what I mean: MDG Wholesale | Quantity & Quality

Re: Fabric.com Beware!
I want to revise my post from the first of this...
Yep... I went on to get 1/2 yard of a print, and it did tell me that now... buying a yard is cheaper 9+ change... where as a half was 6+ change.. or 13.00 a yard.
That stinks. Since when don't they want to sell half yards? Just full yards? My email is headed that way. I hope they get enough of them to make a difference. Gone customer Gone.

Sent my email. This is price gouging and it's low. Just low.
I hope everyone here sends an email.

I think someone - not me of course- should send them a copy of this thread - and maybe a few hundred signatures as well. That might convince them to change back to their old and better ways. Is that legal on here?
