Wow, that's pretty sneaky. They were so much better before they were bought by Amazon.

I had a similar situation with create for less. I added a package of needles to a larger order to get free shipping. Turns out my entire order was out of stock except the needles. They sent me an email AFTER they shipped the needles, and had charged me shipping for them since it was below the free shipping minimum. I had to call several times to finally get the shipping charge refunded.

eta: it's also weird that they had a 1/2 yard leftover piece. Normally when they get to the end of the bolt (for the previous customer), they include it for free. Sometimes it's more than 1/2 yard. Maybe they don't do that anymore.

Augh! Thanks for the heads up about the Frequent Shopper points expiring. Boy am I mad. I was only 98 points away from getting the$50 coupon. Now it is too late to accumulate the last points.

I have never had a problem with them. I placed a large order with them last month and one of the cuts of fabric had a free extra 20 inches because it was the end of the bolt.

Whenever I am looking on Amazon at fabric and see something I want and realize it is from Fabric.com I just jump over to their site and place the order with them. I didn't know that Amazon owned Fabric.com.

Yes, when I had my issue is when I found out about being owned by Amazon. Then was when I really got mad because I am such a big Amazon purchaser. So I emailed the Ceo of Amazon and all got pretty much corrected. I would encourage anyone with an issue with Fabric.com to write to him. jeff@amazon.com. If we keep quiet nothing will be accomplished. Their prices are what initially drew me there, but sloppy orders and out of stock just do not work for me. I would rather pay a premium price at Missouri Star where people care. I just may write to him again myself.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up!!! I ordered from them a few weeks ago for shirts for my hubby and his DJ partner and didn't have a problem. I'm taken aback about the new cutting pricing! That's just crazy!!! I was going to go thru and order a bunch of marine vinyl for the keyfobs I'm making to put into an Etsy store and they have a better selection of colors compared to JoAnns, and their per yard pricing is better (unless I have a coupon for JoAnns). I really don't need a full yard of each color as the keyfobs only take about a 2 1/2" x 6" piece of vinyl. I would be able to make 100 per color if I have to do 1-yard cuts.

Ah well, just another ploy to get more money out of people IMO.

Here's their website: Marshall Dry Goods

DH and I were on a road trip and he planned it to where we could stop in Batesville, Arkansas. Their prices are at least a dollar less per yard in the store. Plus they have several discount tables. Got some nice backing fabric remnants for $1 a yard! And most of the fabric I bought was $2.99 a yard. I only spent about $50 but got a lot of fabric.

I checked their website and they only say the minimum order is 1/2 yard but I couldn't find anything saying it will cost more for a 1/2 yard. Thanks for the heads up on the new policy.

Yes, they were very friendly and helpful. I have never ordered online from them but have been in their store twice now.

I've never had a problem with them. They ship promptly, I get things fast. Twice I ordered 1/2 yard and there was a sticker on it saying... "Hooray... you got the end of the bolt" and it was like 2/3 for the same money. I've never had to pay up charges... that is strange.
