    Default Having fun

    Hi

I am having fun getting to know my new rulers! Easy angle ruler and companion ruler.

This is what I made to night!

    Split nine patch blocks!

The block is 5" square and the units is 2"

I think they are cute! They were really a misstake but now I think a happy one!
I thought wrong when I cut the strips but in the end it will be good!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Nice work! Check out Bonnie Hunter's site. She uses those rulers a lot. In fact, split 9-patch was he leader/ender project last year.

Yes... Bonnie has a couple of good videos on these rulers, and swears by them... She used the Easy Angle for all of her HST's...

Thanks! It was from her blog that I got the idea to try her split nine patch.

Can't wait to see the quilt once you get all the blocks made and organized. Glad you're having fun with your new rulers.

    GREAT!

Also wondering, Swedish leo: Just how many quilts do you usually complete in a year?

I love seeing your work! Very inspiring!

Not so many as you could think.

I have at least 9 tops finished and waiting for backing and quilting.
Due to the fact that I have to save money to be able to buy the material it is a quit significant waiting period before I can complet the quilts. Right now I am saving for batting and thread. Next stepp is saving for the right backing fabrics.

If I had the money to buy all material at once there would be no stopping me!!
