mind is a blank canvas

I am going to a friends home to sew today, went into sewing room to pack to go but my mind went blank. I do not know what I want to work on next-I am between projects right now-and can not get motivated to start anything. I may have to just throw some fabric in a bag and hope my friend can give me some ideas.

That is such a frustrating feeling. I can empathize with you. I have started to get either the overwhelmed with too many ideas or just a blank like you described.

DH decided for me---going to start a lattice quilt. It has been on my to-do list but I had a totally different color way in my mind but he picked some charm packs from stash and suggested a few coordinating fabrics for lattice, will have to see what comes of this.

Totally understand. Sometimes I just have to go look through the fabric and see what catches my eye to think about starting on. Of course, I have a ton of ideas some are even written in my quilting notebook but at times, nothing suits my fancy of what I want to do.
