I just purchased one last week, and haven't tried to take the water out, but found that it is a heavy iron. You do have to lift it on the fabric, or that part wrinkles. May just use it for sewing, and not clothing.

I am not positive if the Oliso is the iron I have frequently seen at sewing and quilt expos - BUT, if it is, they have a cut-away of the iron for display (I have searched and can't find an image). The internal section of the iron is made like a maze. Therefore, there are a whole lot of little alleyways for the water to be trapped in.

You just probably need to incorporate a couple jumping jacks, cartwheels and somersaults into your dance routine and then stand on your head for 37 seconds and try it all over again.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Yes it's hard to empty the water out, BUT I wouldn't trade my Blue Oliso
for anything. I was always turning over my stand up iron. No worries about that now

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the iron! It's just that I wanted to make sure to take good care of this baby, unlike my old iron which would sit on the board for a month . . . with water in it . . . I'll stop stressing now

I found that if I turn it over slowly, so the 'spout/ drain is pointing away from my hand and slowly tilt it forward and backward about 3 or 4 times it gets just about all of it out.

I have the blue one too. You could just iron something extra to "use up" the water, or most of it then you won't have that much to dump out. Plus I try to anticipate if I am almost done working for the day then I don't fill it all the way up when it gets low. Love the iron though!!

Another reason why I love my cordless Panasonic the water tank is plastic and comes completely off the iron for filling and emptying
    just saying.

Why does everyone empty this iron? I've never emptied an iron before. Again, why?
