I had wondered that myself. That is until I read the manual. It does say to drain the iron. So then I was wondering if other brand irons had the same instructions. I did a search on manuals for Black and Decker and Rowenta . . . and yep, it says the same thing in their manuals too. I guess I have never read that far in any of my iron manuals because, well, it's an iron and I know how to use it (apparently not LOL).Quote:

And here is where I admit that I don't empty my iron either. I guess I would if I was putting it away for a while but I use it too often to mess with draining it.
Ok I have the same thing and I point it forward an the water drains from the spray nozzle. Thought the sideways thing would work, but like you said, water still stay inside.
My mom also used distilled water. Or she would use water she ran from the faucet a few days ahead, giving time for everything in it to settle, then she stored it in bottles for the iron. You can also boil some water, a gallon at a time and store that.Quote:

I don't have an Oliso iron, but my iron somehow empties itself. I have to keep filling 'er up! :D:icon_razz:
