Default Which iron is best for quiliting?

I notice a lot of the tutorials show people using the Oliso iron, but some of the reviews on it aren't great...is this a good iron, or not?

I'd like to have something that stays hot so I don't have to wait for it to warm up all the time!

    Thank you!

Just choose the iron you are most comfortable using. Like quilt pattens and colors, its a personal choice.

You will find as many answers as there are irons and people.
Personally I LOVE LOVE LOVE my cordless Panasonic. I wish I had gotten it sooner. It steams very well (just ask Pat about her burns) It gets hot fast , and even when the timer clicks off just takes a min or sew to warm right back up. The water tank is good sized and very easy to fill.

Just like bellybuttons, every quilter needs an iron. I'm not a staunch believer is any particular brand, though I currently use a Rowenta and love it for its weight. I like some weight to my primary irons. I also keep an old Panasonic with a retractable cord on hand because it's been so good and I hate to get rid of it. The Olisio (sp?) with the little legs that raise and lower the iron wouldn't be for me but I know others who love it. In one of jenny's first tutorials she said her requirement was an iron with steam and a long cord. I'm somewhat fascinated by the little cordless irons.

I'm with Iris Girl........I love love love my cordless Panasonic . I've had it longer than a year now, warms up quickly, easy to refill, and steams really nice. Comes with a handy carrying case also. I bought it at WalMart.

I have had 2 Rowentas and they only lasted about 5 yrs then started leaking like crazy. I have the blue Oliso and it's fabulous, but I only bought it cause it wss 50% off and the cord on my last one caught on fire the same week. It steams really nice and heats up in about a minute but has auto shutoff after 8 mins not using. So usually I shop by price and get the medium price thing. This is the most expensive iron I have ever had. Haven't had any trouble with it but only had it about 6 mos. I saw all the negative reviews before buying and I was a tiny bit hesitant about buying. Figured I'd just return it if needed, like everyone else did!!

I noticed that several of you have the Panasonic Cordless iron and love them. There are a couple of models. I'd be interested in knowing which model you guys have. I have a Black & Decker Digital Advantage and it's okay, but I can't say I'm really satisfied with it. I like the idea of a cordless iron.
