Default I hate the local babylock dealer

I've been wanting to buy the Babylock Crescendo for a long time and I think my husband has gotten so sick of hearing me talk about it (and making him watch YouTube videos on it!) that he told me to just go buy it. The problem is that the only dealer in the state is the one I bought my Elna at and I hate them. They are very rude, I don't know if it's becuase of my age or what, but my money is the same as everyone else's who shops there. So what do I do? I really don't want to spend my hard earned money at a shop that doesn't appreciate my business, but I want to buy a machine at a local dealer in case I have any issues. Am I just out of luck? Honestly, if buying from them is my only choice, I probably won't buy the machine, just out of principle!

I see you live in Phoenix Arizona which is a very large city. Look at up other local Babylock dealers and visit them. Make it a day trip. Eat at a nice cafe. Have fun. Then make your decision.

Are you talking about the one on 35th? If so I know what you are talking about. I went in looking for a foot for my machine and it was like no one could be bothered, I waited until I got home but the shop here is no better. On the other hand the ladies on the fabric side are nice and answered a lot of my questions,

There looks like there are several Babylock dealers in Phoenix and more in the state. I'd search for a different dealer.

That's too bad. Mine is realy helpful. Is it all the clerks or just one person. At my shop only one person (the manager) deals with machine sales. I looked up Babylock dealers in Arizona and there are more out there.

I got mine at 35th AV Sew and Vac. The service department is wonderful and the women in the fabric area are very helpful. They don't gush over you and follow you around all the time. The only thing I didn't like was the woman who gave the class on new machines. She didn't know anything about the machine. So I have just had to play around with my manual but I think that if I asked the sales gal in the machine department to help me, she would. And, BTW, I love my Crescendo - got it last April. It is very heavy though and I can't carry it out to the car or take it to group - I just use a featherweight for that. And when I had to take it in because I messed up something, someone in the store came out and got it on a cart and wheeled it in the store for me. That is good service in my opinion.

I know how you feel, my local BL shop seems to be the same. I have 2 BL machines and love them but hate to go to the shop for anything. The owner walks around like a "popcorn fart" (Grandpa's term) wearing a headset and if she is talking to you when a call comes in she holds her finger up for you to "shut up" and wait for her to take the call. Every time I go in I feel as if I am in her way.

My local dealers wouldn't "deal" on the Crescendo but I had set a price I was willing to pay. One weekend in Reno we visited the LQS that also had Baby Locks. Got the machine there for the price I had set. Now I am a very happy girl!

    Good luck.

    Where to Buy Baby Lock

Enter your zip code. There are a lot of dealers in Phoenix.

I would buy from someone else if you can. If they are rude while shopping they could be rude or cause problems when it's time for repairs or questions. I agree with Denise........make a day of it and shop at another business.
