Cheater cloth?

Anyone used this for quilting? I have a panel of grandmother's garden, but the fake stitches are really too far apart for machine quilting to cover them.

I guess Eleanor Burns fabrics has a few--christine. How would you use them--cut them up for blocks or just use them for the back?

I used a cheater top that I hand quilted once for a friends lap quilt. She loved it....and that is really all that matters.
