    Default Any suggestions?

I have done several paper pieced projects (small projects) and have enjoyed doing them and would like to try a full sized quilt. Have you done one? Would like to see a picture. Do you have suggestions for a book or pattern for me to use?
Thanks for any help you can give.

I've done a lot of small projects but never a full size quilt. You might want to try a crib or lap size first and go through the whole process.

Lots of freebie paper piece templates here:

I made a periwinkle (Arkansas Star) lap size quilt from a free template. I enlarged the pattern on my printer.

I haven't made a full size paper pieced quilt. But I do know that a lot of folks like Carol Doak's patterns for paper piecing.

Quiltworx patterns are great, but the first time you use one, it would be better if you were in a class because they are kind of confusing. Once they are explained to you, they are easy to understand and use and the end results are fabulous!

I have done a Judy Niemeyer table runner and want to do a Glacier Star. My sister-in-law likes teal and I have offered to make her one if she purchases the pattern and fabrics.

For our church sanctuary, I made large (60" x 100") banners using "Paper Piecing Quilts of Praise". The original pattern was for an 8" block, so I enlarged it to be 36" square. Made the pieces a LOT bigger and easier to handle.

The process is tedious, but the finished result is fantastic, so precise.

I agree, taking a Judy Niemeyer class will help tremendously. I am not familiar with Carol Doak's patterns and process.

Go for it. And an Add-a-Quarter ruler is very helpful.

Crafts has a couple of great paper piecing classes. That might help. They are always having sales on the classes. Keep an eye out.
