Quilter's slide lock ruler
Does anyone have this or have used it. I watched the demo video and it looks like the answer to my problem.

Re: Quilter's slide lock ruler
I have both large and small and like them. I have an accurate Martelli mat so it makes cutting strips for the Sizzix very easy.

Thank you for the quick reply. I was afraid this was a too good to be true product.

Re: Quilter's slide lock ruler
I bought the small 14" one in "lighted" green and I LOVE IT! It isn't really lighted of course, it just glows like it's lit from within. It absolutely does not move when you push down on the handle. I've had it about a month now and I really don't see the need for the larger one. I have cut with the slide lock alone, with my ruler against it, and by butting it up to the ruler and then moving the ruler out of the way. There really isn't a wrong way to use it!
If you have a long ruler and need to make a long cut, just place the ruler in the right spot then put the slide lock next to the ruler to keep it from moving and make your cut. I hold the cutter in my left hand, press down the slide lock bar with my right palm and press my right fingertips onto the ruler just to stabilize it as I cut. It works great!
One less thing to worry about.

Thank you Nimknit, I thought about the green one but wasn't sure if it would be distracting.

I watched the video posted with the link. First cut she makes, the ruler moved at the end of the cut. I was ever so slight, but it did shift a bit at the end of the cut. Just an observation. :-)

Re: Quilter's slide lock ruler
I ordered the set and hope I like using it. I have a Martelli mat and use the lines on the mat for most of my cutting.
I have a gypsy gripper but don't use it because the only place that is stable is the center of the ruler and it covers some of the markings on the ruler.
