Default Ladies and Gentlemen,,,,i have an idea.

I have this Idea that i would like to do,,,,need all you folks to help.
As you know i have posted several pictures of quilts and quilt blocks I have been working on, while doing these i have joined a few quilting groups on line,, several books and various web sites.
Almost every one is focused on women, yes, they are known for doing quilts, BUT, i also notice there are men who ask and post questions.
What i am proposing is doing a study of men quilters,,,. For this, I want to ask men to contribute a nine Patch Variation (NPV) to make a sampler quilt,,, along with the patch they will send to me for the quilt, i will photpgraph it, edit their instrcutions of the NPV join, finish and bind the quilt, then either do a drawing of the blocks that make it, raffle it off or donate it to a VA or Veterans group,,,
I think i would want to set the colors to say blue and yellow and material as cotton or basik. On the colors any shade of the choicen colors can be used in the block, as long as the type matrial is also provided.
Anyone, suggestion? Something i a forgetting and where would i get this thing published,,,. I think Fairmont State had a press at one time, hmmmm. Thanks for you help

Great idea! Love the idea of donating it to a Veteran's group

Love the idea, wish you the best with it. I've been fascinated to see how men's minds work with quilting, I sometimes see a certain fastidiousness, operation of order, or sort of mathematical alignment I don't often observe in women's quilting. I just always find it fascinating to observe how anyone works and processes their art. I wonder if you can include something written about how each has chosen his colors or pattern, what motivated them, from where they drew inspiration, etc.

I am still working with the concept, i am from West Virginia, so I was thinking to start the color as blue and Yellow,,,, the patch would be 10inches suare,,, i was thinking of asking for a modified Nine Patch, But again is still in beginning steps,,, based on my experince it will be interesting as, i dont see color and patterns the way the are "supposed" to be,,,according to the wife.
Again this is in the beginning stage and i have a long way to go,,,
Thanks everyone for their kind words so far
