Can someone tell me what this is please?

MM can mean Main Man, My Man, Monkey Man (Bubba's husband), millimeter, -the list goes on. Most of the time, it probably means Bubba's husband.

Welcome to the Forum! I still stumble over some of the abbreviations, but the big list RiverMomm posted will help. You can copy and paste it into a "user notes" in your profiles (that is what I had to do) so you can look at it when you run into one you don't know.

Free Motion Quilting is done on your domestic sewing machine. There are many videos on the web, esp. YouTube that demonstrate technique. Also many books with tips & patterns. It requires a darning foot. The stitching pattern is made as you move the quilt sandwich under the needle. It's a technique that requires practice.
