Default If you could pick any machine for Traveling...

    All,

I am beginning my search for a perfect travel machine to haul to sewing/quilting classes and retreats!
It needs to be light and small enough to carry.

What is your favorite travel style machine, and why?

I have a Babylock Audrey that I got for a class machine. They don't make her anymore, and I can't remember the new name she is under, but they both weigh only about 12 pounds and came with a nice carrying case. I also have a featherweight I can take as well.

I also love my Audrey, I think the replacement machine now in production for her is the Amelia. Nice, comes with small extension table and carry case, 1/4" foot also included.

I'm with Bob. I prefer to take a Featherweight. It makes a wonderful stitch and has it's own carrying case. It's a very simple machine but for classes/retreats I don't need anything fancy. For fancy I have a Janome machine at home.

I like my Singer Featherweight. It is light and has a great stitch.

(If all the pieces fit perfectly, people will think it was made by a machine!) LOL

Janome Jem 760. Bought because of size and 12lb weight and LOVE it. Has 60 or so built in stitches.

Another Baby Lock option is the Rachel. A step up from Amelia, 50 stitches and about 12 lbs. Rachel replaced the Grace which only had 40 stitches.
