My Passport is in hand and I have my first stamp!
I tackled a bag so that I could really give the IDT a run for it's money. Some parts of the bag had 4 layers of fabric and 2 - 3 layers of interfacing. Whew. It made it! (I'm not giving myself any credit since I had a really hard time following this pattern. :-)

Now my machine needs a name. I might bring him to the retreat. I'll have to give an extra prize if someone helps me find the right name!

Congratulation on your new machine. I love my Pfaff machines.

As for name, how about Amelia. This is for Earhart who traveled the world. Just ignore that part where she didn't make it back home as I'm sure your little machine will always make it home.

The bag is "Fat quarter bag #6" by Platte Branch Design Co. I had a hard time figuring the pattern out as it didn't have good instructions calling out the direction fabric was supposed to face and some of the other less obvious details of construction. However, I tackled it again yesterday before I was too tired and figured it out. I would change a few things in the way I constructed it. I also want to find a bag interfacing that doesn't get "crinkled" as easily, maybe a thin foam. I might make the larger version before I write this one off.
