What To Quilt On Your Quilt .
For all the newbes and everyone else!
I have posted this video before but I think it is good enough to repost.
Especially since there is so many new quilters here.

Enjoy!
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Thanks for the reminder! I really must start quilting those last tops I made in 2014.
I'm now also studying the option of having the pattern previously traced:
Although I think my tops are too large and bulky for attempting custom quilting on my DSM with all the turning it implies, I really want to try it, maybe on small projects or just for the borders. An overall meandering is what I can do best for those awaiting monsters.

Thanks for this post. I hadn't seen this one before. I don't have time to watch the whole thing tonight, but I'll come back to it.

Re: What To Quilt On Your Quilt .
I really enjoyed watching this. I have two king quilts in my line up that I will be quilting on my domestic machine. It does have a 10-11" harp but that is still lots of fabric to shove through.
I love the permission to make it my own and do what I can do instead of thinking it should have feathers everywhere that I am not capable of doing with my limited experience. I am also very glad of my choice of backing, it has lots of busy colorful flowers and will not show the quilting.
whether it is good or bad.

I finished watching the video this a.m. I clicked on the next one about Mctavishing. That was interesting, too.

Stencils are a good way to have some kind of guide when you are first starting FMQ
