Oh Bother!!!!!
I was sewing away merrily... And then... Nothing... Opening up my Singer touch and sew, I find one of the plastic teeth from one of the gear wheels has come off.... I can buy a new gear wheel, but cannot undo the screws to get into the gears.. the screws were put into the machine in the factory.... What to do ???

Re: Oh Bother!!!!!
I'm sorry to tell you this, but it might be time to start shopping for a new sewing machine. They aren't that expensive if you don't go in for anything too fancy.

Re: Oh Bother!!!!!
I have a Singer Brilliance I bought before Christmas, It's ok but it is so flimsy all plastic, and an old black Singer good to get the piecing done on but too small to do the quilting on. I use ( used ) the Touch and Sew to do the quilting on.

Re: Oh Bother!!!!!
Maybe find a strong handyman to loosen the screws??? If he's good looking that would be a plus.

Try some penetrating oil. Here's a link about it. You could probably find something like it at a hardware store.
