My new Brother 420

Sooo excited. My sewing machine arrived yesterday....after I learned to wind the bobbin, took 3 tries but tada! I think I am going to enjoy it very much.

Congratulations! I got a new Brother earlier this month...a different model but it has way more features than my old Singer. I just learned to sew buttonholes on with their foot gadget. Have fun!

Congrats. I have been sewing on the Brother PC420 for a little over a year. It is a great machine. I do not know how I ever managed to live without the thread cutting button.

I am afraid to push many buttons for fear of messing it up. Scared to death the try the auto thread cutter...but just played with it for about an hour, so I am sure I will get it...

I had gotten the SE400. At first I was afraid not to use the footpedal. But now I wouldn't go back. Love that push button. The thread cutter makes life so much easier and the up down button. Did a few of the decorative stitches and boy was that a whole lot easier than back in the late 60's. It really is so much more fun sewing now isn't it! LOL Ohhhhh and love that automatic threader too. We're getting spoiled , you know.

Congrats on your machine!! I have a Brother and love it. Don't be afraid of the needle cutter . I will warn you, you may find that certain threads will keep coming out of the needle after you use the cutter. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it either.
