Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
Great looking bag, but same as some others on here, I can not open part two on my ipad :(
Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
So much for not ordering more stuff yet....just ordered the fusible from Amazon.

I noticed Amazon has 36" X 58". You would be able to get 3 bags from it instead of one bag from the 18" x 58". Plus a few straps.
Does anyone know if you can piece the interfacing?
This product seems to be very similar to Soft and Stable (minus the fusible). I asked on another message board about piecing it and was told yes. Butt the edges together and zigzag.

I, personally, box my corners differently and I don't think I'd like leaving those triangle sections on there.
I think with the fusible, it would be great for placemats or anything that you'd use binding for finishing the edges. You could fuse your fabric and the back side at the same time. The Soft and Stable (similar w/o the fusible) does not require quilting. I don't know if this product does. It would be interesting to know if it does require quilting.
Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
These look like fun bags to make as christmas presents. Can't wait to try them.
Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
Jenny and Vanessa make a great team.......great tutorial! I might have to buy some of that fusible too!
Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
It's out of stock at M*, but I ordered some from Amazon. I thought the dimensions for the body were 15x30, which would give you enough to cut the foam for the straps. I like this bag and look forward to making this AND some zippered pouches. I really like the team of Jenny & Vanessa. IMO, this is the best co-project to date.

I like this tutorial but I have to say, the one with Stephen is my favorite! LOL

Thanks - I was wondering about that. With it being more expensive than fusible fleece I would really want to make use of all of it.
Re: New Tutorial with Crafty Gemini
I wonder if it would be useful as the body of a purse project. Solid and stiff appearance but flexible. Should look into finding a good resource on that.
I love fossil as a purse maker but the prices! Lol.
